STORY OF MALI from a volunteer trip toThailand
      These are a few of the pictures taken of Mali. I spent many happy hours observing her and have enough material to spend many more hours enjoying sketching or painting her. How I miss her.
Here she was touching my face with the tip of her trunk . As light as a feather brushing my skin, as though she was trying to memorise my face. |

This sketch of the lovely elephant Mali was sent to
" S ketch for Survival" after an invitation to send an entry to be auctioned for conservation. I spent a week walking with her and swimming in a river in Thailand. It was a life changing experience.
