   Despite coming from an 'Arty' family,  I only began  painting  after retiring from a busy   life   as a  Veterinary Surgeon  in Scotland and running    an Equestrian  Centre. 
 I now live at a beautiful place in Gloucestershire called Owls End,  hence my interest in owls  and the name of my web site.

 Replacing my scalpel and syringes for a paint brush, paintings soon began to sell,   offering the opportunity to donate to conservation projects.
Volunteering at an ​Elephant Orphanage in Zambia,  set up with help from David Shepherd, gave me the focus on which project to choose.

Donations of 20% now go regularly to the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation from sales of my art work
