Despite coming from an 'Arty' family, I only began painting after retiring from a busy life as a Veterinary Surgeon in Scotland and running an Equestrian Centre.
I now live at a beautiful place in Gloucestershire called Owls End, hence my interest in owls and the name of my web site.
Replacing my scalpel and syringes for a paint brush, paintings soon began to sell, offering the opportunity to donate to conservation projects.
Volunteering at an Elephant Orphanage in Zambia, set up with help from David Shepherd, gave me the focus on which project to choose.
Donations of 20% now go regularly to the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation from sales of my art work
